Terms and Conditions

A. Session Fees

Client agrees to pay Shane & Alli Photography a deposit of $100 at the time of booking to secure their appointment date and time. This is a non-refundable retainer fee that goes toward your session. Balance is due at the time of the session. The fee covers the time and talent of photographer, basic retouching and creative editing of images, as determined by the photographer. Additional editing is available at additional expense to be determined by photographer. 

B. Location Costs & Fees

If there are any costs/fees associated with the location the client has chosen for their session, you, the client, will be responsible for those fees. Standard fees cover sessions occurring within the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Shane & Alli Photography is available for travel at an additional fee.

C. Rescheduling

If an illness or situation prevents a photo session from taking place, client may reschedule their session at least 24 hours prior to their shoot without penalty. Photographer reserves the right to reschedule due to illness, weather, equipment malfunction, or other circumstances beyond their control.

D. Re-shoots / Refunds

Re-shoots are determined at the discretion of the photographer. Re-shoots and refunds will not be given for poor choices of clothing, make-up, hair or weather related issues, or by not following the recommendations of the photographer.

E. Archive

After six (6) months, all images will be purged from photographer’s hard-drive, except as needed for promotional purposes, to be determined by photographer at photographer’s sole discretion. Photographer is not responsible for loss or damage to the digital files due to circumstances beyond photographer’s control.

F. Payment

All payments are due in full on the day of the photo shoot unless payment arrangements have been made. If client has arranged a payment plan, photos will be delivered after the final payment has been received.

G. Damage

Photographer is not responsible for the damage of portraits after delivery to client, including damage caused during transit by US mail. Client assumes all responsibility for the safety of all portraits upon receipt.

H. Model Release

I hereby assign full copyright of any photographs to be taken to Shane & Alli Photography (and the related representatives and assigns) together with the right of reproduction either wholly or in part.

I grant Shane & Alli Photography or licensees or assignees the permission to use the above-mentioned photographs either separately or together, either wholly or in part, the perpetual and irrevocable and unrestricted right to use and publish video and/or photographs of me, or where I may be included for editorial trade, product advertising and such other fashion /business purpose in any manner and medium. The Photographer and licensees or assignees may have unrestricted use of these for whatever purpose, including advertising, with any retouching or alteration without restriction. I agree that the above mentioned photographs and any reproductions may be used for any advertising purposes or for the purpose of illustrating any wording, and agree that no such wording shall be considered to be attributed to me personally unless my name is used. I hereby release the photographer named above from all claims and liability relating to images, video or photographs taken of me.

I. Liability

Shane & Alli Photography is not responsible for any injuries inflicted upon any participating parties. Client(s) will be responsible for themselves and release photographer from any claims against their person or their business.

J. Copyright

Shane & Alli Photography retains all copyrights to all images created during client’s session. When sharing photos on social media, it is expected that credit will be given to Shane & Alli Photography in every case. Facebook shares must tag Shane & Alli Photography’s page here: facebook.com/shaneandalli. Twitter or Instagram shares must tag @shaneandalli. No filters or additional text should be added to photos with out the photographer’s explicit permission.
